Keep an eye on your VHF stations as you slew the antenna. Those are a bonus with the ClearStream which is billed as a UHF antenna. At 328 on the boresight, they should still be in a spot where the antenna will pick them up, plus you've got a strong LOS signal for those which certainly helps.

For LA, you probably want to use KOCE or KBEH as your benchmark signal. Don't expect perfect reception for all things LA out of the box, though. This is just a test to see if you can move the needle pointing in a different direction. You might also be surprised to get a backscatter reflection of the SD stations from the ridges to your NW.

Having an understanding spouse watching the signal strength as you move the antenna around will save a great deal of time.
