If you can avoid trees, KAIT should be pretty easy. If that's all you're going to go for, I'd suggest using an Antennacraft Y10713 or Winegard YA1713. The added gain and directivity would help make it more reliable yet.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
