Looking for some antenna advice

Greetings all.

I've been lurking around the forums for a bit and finally decided to register to take advantage of the knowledgeable folks lurking about.

I don't watch a lot of television, but it's about time I install something better than this homegrown coat-hanger setup I threw together to get the local news Surprisingly it brings in the CKVR signal in clear HD, better than my brothers cable box.

Ideally I'd like to install an attic based solution, or a mount on the garage roof with all but northern exposure.. but if absolutely necessary I could try to convince the better half that a mast is necessary.

I've got digital OTA receivers here I'll be piping the signal to, and am interested in HD digital if at all possible.

Here is my base TV Fool report showing my coverage, I've also included 25 and 40 foot reports for completeness sake:

From what I understand of that, I think I'll be lucky to get maybe 5 distinct channels. I don't see much of a difference when raising the antenna height but maybe I'm not reading that correctly.

From what I garnered from other posts with similar signal ratios to mine, I'll be needing a mid-long range antenna, and maybe a booster? The cable run would be less than 100ft, single drop with the potential of a split to another set pending reception in the future. That leads me to believe it would be something similar to the following:

Antennas Direct DB8 Multidirectional HD Antenna
DB4e Extended Range Antenna - This is UHF only I think?

Since my graph shows VHF-hi/lo I don't know if this will be satisfactory. My signals are high band VHF? If so I would need something like a HD7696P?

So my question to the experts is what do you think I'd require to get the best bang for my buck and bring in some reliable channels? Thanks in advance for anyone who is willing to share.
