The proper way of splitting is to use a 'common simple passive' 2 or 3 way splitter. A one story house with the antenna on the roof will put the antenna about 20 to 25 feet high. A 2 story house will put the antenna at about 30 maybe even 40 feet high. For your location the antenna height is a balancing act , height verses signal strength. Go to the >Start MAPS< part of Tvfool and enter heights from 17 feet to 50 feet. You are searching for a antenna height that has signal strengths of at least 10 to 8 NM(dB) of the stations I listed , 335 degree magnetic compass reading.
