13 on the other hand is terrible.

First mistake, you can't use an amplified antenna.
Second, your stations vary in aiming.

If you want to try another indoor antenna the Terk HDTVi is the best option.
To consider an outdoor antenna note that you'll need at least two antennas. If you get a Y5-7-13 aimed at 118° and a DB-2 aimed at 237° coupled together with a UVSJ you'd get all the top network affiliates. KNLJ may or may not work.
