I agree that WGVK is an overwhelming signal.
TG, Does the attached drawing match the idea your proposing?
The additional complexity of the UVSJ presumes the HLSJ will attenuate UHF frequencies (which may or may not be the case depending on the filter circuitry inside the HLSJ).
In another forum, the Pico Macom HLSJ is reported to pass UHF. Fortunately, most UVSJs and HLSJs are inexpensive.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
