Yes, this is a old thread, BUT, it's still a current product. A couple of years ago I came to the conclusion based on what someone else mentioned elsewhere is the unit I received was indeed a European model (8 MHz instead of out 6 MHz bandwidth) mis-sold in the US. Assuming that was correct, that would account for the scans of a single channel being too wide affecting overall performance on adjacent channels of far different levels (very strong and weak side by side in the same direction).
I'm considering giving it another try. I'll post back if I do. Any new input would be welcome.
