If it turns out that I need to go higher, are "extensions" available to add to the height of my existing mast?  It sounds like you should consider using gable-end brackets and a mast located at the peak of your roof (like in the picture in Rabbit's grounding example) rather than a j-mount.  This may let you go a little higher.
