What channel do you use for the news?
If the interference is coming through the power line (conducted interference), then another circuit for the TV might help. A power strip with an RF filter might help.
If the interference is coming through the air (radiated interference), then grounding the coax shield with a grounding block might help.
Are your AC outlets 2-wire or 3-wire with a grounding pin?
