I need help to select antennas to get a god reception

Setup:
- Mast : 30~35 feet above ground
- cable : 50 feet of RG11
- a Rotor
- a channel master 7777 pre amp.
- I have a DTV box
In canada we still have some channels that are not digital yet
so my best choice would be a VHF - UHF antenna, preferably 2 separate antennas.
should I get a bay or yagi antenna for my UHF ?
What would be a preferable antenna setup ?
is 2 separate antenna is a god decision ?
