I would recommend only a temporary mounting facility (do not drill any holes!) until you've determined that you've found a suitable spot and antenna. Since a mount cannot be attached to a tile roof, you'll need to look for an appropriate fascia or trim board or a wall surface where a permanent mount can be affixed.

We recommend that all outdoor antennas be installed in accordance with national and local electrical codes. An example of a basic grounding setup is on our website in the "Learning Center".

You can certainly try the antenna in your attic, but don't be surprised if you have to move it outside.
