If you have a VHF high station that you are particularly interested in (ie KNTV), you can buy a VHF antenna (Antennacraft Y10713 usually rcommended) and point it directly at the station you want. Then mix it with your 8-bay UHF (DB8e?) antenna signal using a UVSJ or preamp and have a single lead-in. I'd guess you'd get the green VHF stations with the Y10713, even though they are off-axis. Both antennas can be mounted on the same mast, with about 4' separation between.
