There is nothing wrong with your antenna, except that it is inadequate for your needs. Unfortunately, MT St. Bruno is blocking your view of the Mt. Sutro tower. The reason that you can see KNTV is that KNTV broadcasts from Mt. ST Bruno, while the vast majority of the SF stations transmit from Mt. Sutro. Even though Mt. Sutro isn't very far, you have a considerable blockage of the signal from your location, and, I am afraid that no indoor antenna is likely to be able to solve your reception issues. If you have the ability to mount an antenna on the roof, you can probably see the stations that are on the Mt. Sutro tower, otherwise, it will be a real struggle to get any decent reception on anything other than the few transmitters that broadcast from Mt. St. Bruno.
