You mean making the physical connection, or the cable loss due to the long run?
An amplifier can boost the antenna signal and make up for the cable loss.
If you can't run the cable, I would imagine you could connect via some combination of stand-alone receiver and HTPC using wireless internet. I assume you have electrical power to the shop.
