Help: Interference

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...e1c67867644e86

I recently purchased a Lava HD8008 antenna and installed in the attic. I don't presently have a splitter connected but am looking to soon. I'm experiencing some interference (not terribly often) when seemingly a train passes which is about half a mile away. The tracks are in line with the major stations (about 65-70 miles away). If this is what is causing the interference, would a preamp help? I believe there is already 32db amplifier built in.

Second part of my question would be then, what would be recommended for splitting? I tried splitting with no distribution amp, just a 4 way splitter and that didn't work.

From antenna to plug is probably 30-40 feet i'm guessing.

If I have to choose between powering through interference over splitting, that's what i'd prefer if i can't do both.

Any help would be much appreciated. I'm clearly a novice.

Thanks!
