Unless you have metal siding or foil faced insulation, I would recommend a set of rabbit ears... Non-amplified

However you say you prefer an outdoor antenna so you may want to consider a non-amplified 'omni' like http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp...0Antennas&sku=

The predicted signal levels at your location leave you plenty of margin even if you need to split the signal to several sets.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
