Well, I'm finished with my project. I figured since I posted and asked here it was only right to post my results. I did end up getting the HBU44 antenna (Thanks for the suggestion Teleview). Once mounted I was able to pull in 23 stations, that was without an amp. I was very happy with that except Fox and CBS did have some slight artifacting during the day (they were fine at night). My wife was thrilled and content. We got more stations than either of us were anticipating. Still, just for fun I wanted to add an amp just to see what difference if any it would make. I added the TV-PRAMP1R (Thanks for the suggestion Tower Guy) and after rescanning I am able to get 32 stations. This is the number that I get consistently during the daytime. At night I've pulled in as many as 49 and as far away as Bowling Green, Ohio, but I'll keep the honest number at 32 as an accurate count.
Total cost spent $80 for the antenna and $25 for the amp. I reused my satellite cabling (but cleaned it up some) and already had a mast. Best $105 spent in a long while!
Thanks!
