Based on the path profile links in your TV Fool report, I'd use two antennas and a preamp with a built-in combiner.

Consider the Antennas Direct 91XG + Antennacraft Y10713 + RCA TVPRAMP1R.

You'll have a much better chance of success if you mount outdoors, clear of obstructions. Use a starting aim of about 270° to 275° (compass). If mounting on the same mast, put the 91XG at the top, and the Y10713 at least 3' below the bottom of the upper antenna. (That tends to rule out a 5' mast. If you have a Home Depot within range, they likely stock 10.5' chain-link fence top rail which has served me well in several installations.)

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
