Just an update. With a cheap indoor $10 rca antenna I was able to get a few channels but not much. Shows cut in and out. With the ant 751 in the attic I am pulling tons of channels on 2 Tvs with no issues at all.
Optical audio out works great for my surround sound and picture is crystal clear.

Now what to spend the $1000 per year I am saving on?
