Free to air satellite service may be your least expensive option.

Another possible solution is to locate an antenna and tuner at a site with better reception opportunity. Connect to the tuner using an internet link or possibly WiFi. Product from Silicon Dust and SlingBox come to mind. This generally requires that you use a PC to view TV or connect the internet data stream to your TV/monitor.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
