Hi Chathome,

Teleview's suggestion of focusing on the Birmingham cluster should yield you the majority of those signals and affiliates with the HD1200.

Birmingham ABC WJSU is very weak and may not reliable, however WCFT, a WJSU satellite station has a good signal at your location. Expect reception just off the side of HD1200 of WCFT for ABC programming.

I would also anticipate several of the green shaded signals to be received as well while not pointing at them.

We don't recommend attic installations. Antennas perform best outside when no obstructions or impediments get between transmitter and receiving antenna. When mounting antenna in an attic, you not only introduce solid materials the signals must pass through which weakens the desired signals and can cause even very good signals to be unreliable. You bring your antenna closer to household electrical interference. In short, you can have a tv fool radar plot of 60 db signals across the board and you may still have reception problems in an attic due to the weakened signal, multi-path and household interference.

There is also a problem of weaker signals. In your case, with many of the Birmingham signals being around 30 to 18 db, those are getting into the area where the signals already trending weak and simply may not be able to reliably make it through the roof.

For reliable reception of Birmingham as Teleview suggests, the antenna must go outside with the best possible line of sight to magnetic 72.

Cheers
