Your report indicates an antenna height of 5' AGL. My first suggestion would be to experiment with alternative mounting heights and locations. Avoid locations that force you to aim at trees or other obstructions.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
