Adding the C2's VHF kit to the C4 usually helps a lot, but it isn't a substitute for a full-size, directional VHF antenna. You can give it a try, it's inexpensive and easy to use on a C4 (just swap out one of the reflectors and re-do the cables) and does surprisingly well in a lot of situations.. It's my observation that the VHF element does pretty well on FM for short to medium range usage. One of these days, I plan on doing some field testing to quantify what it's FM performance actually measures.
CBET however, will, more likely than not, require a dedicated high-VHF antenna such as the CleaarStream 5 or the 10-element Winegard or AntennaCraft.
