Install the antenna above the peak of the roof in such a manner that reception is not , obstructed , impeded , blocked , buy the roof and building in the directions of reception.
As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on broadcast Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and building.
The Best Pratice is to install the antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in he directions of reception including your own roof and house:
Make sure the HD7697P antenna is put together correctly.
Make sure the phasing lines (connecting wires) are connected corectly in side of the plastic box of the antenna.
Make sure the phasing lines (connecting wires) are not touching the boom of the antenna.
Make sure the phasing lines (connecting wires) are not touching each other.
Aim the antenna at about 92 degree magnetic compass direction.
Also try aiming antenna at about 29 degree magnetic compass direction. A alternate direction for WPSU PBS.

Connect a , New continues length of coax to the antenna
No amplifier , no power injector , no power supply
No splitters , No couplers , No nothing
Run the New continues length of coax through a open window or door direct to 1 Tv.
Digital Tv tuners can develop -Digital Glitches- that are not cleared out with simple channel scans.

The Tv Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the , DTV Channels ~ Air Channels ~ Antenna Channels , in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.
Some digital Tv's will Automatic channel scan for cable Tv channels.
DO NOT channel scan for cable Tv channels.
Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select , DTV Channels ~ Air Channels ~ Antenna Channels .
What is reception like now??
If Ok , add in all the componets of the LNA-200 'Boost' XT amplifier.
If reception is Ok then add in other components until problem is found.
