Your reports indicate that the location was only approximate. Please accurately resolve your location using the interactive maps tool and create a new plot. 30' is fine. Much will depend on your immediate topography, specifically in the directions of Great Falls and Helena. Your initial plots suggest that your area is low-lying in relation to the surrounding territory.

You will, at a minimum, need a pre-amplifier along the lines of our PA18 You will also need to either 1) Add a deep-fringe high-VHF antenna (Winegard or Antennacraft 10 Element high-VHF) to the DB8 or 2) Start over with a single High-VHF/UHF combo (WG 7698). If you desire the chance to get stuff from Helena, add a rotor. You do not need a large, all-channel that's 10' wide and 12-15' long.

Properly installed and aimed, the DB8 would be expected to, perhaps, get one or two stations from Great Falls on a good day. Aiming of the DB8 will need to be precise when working with these weak signals. An aiming error of as little as 10 degrees will make or break reception out on the deepest fringe. A rotor makes like a lot easier.

Tough location even if you execute perfectly.
