To take full advantage of the available signals I would opt for a full size antenna such as the Winegard HD7698P paired with an RCA TVPRAMP1R preamplifier.

You could try a Channel Master CM-4228HD which is much more compact. However, it's High-VHF capability is much more limited. If it failed to provide reliable reception of the signals on real channels 7 through 13, you would be faced with adding an Antennas Direct CS5 or Antennacraft Y10713.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
