If driving only one TV and with 50' or less coax, no.

If you are driving a long run of coax and an 8-way splitter... maybe.

I would try this 'barefoot', you can always add an amplifier if the need is proven... That is, you have good reception at the antenna but the added loss caused by cable and splitting causes the loss of one or more signals.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
