There's not much risk of overloading a preamp. However, the conditions are improved enough that I would make the effort to mount at 25', you get 'cleaner', more reliable signal.
The HD7694P and PA-18 are still a very good option.
Chimney or eve mounting is often a solid, easy choice.

Chasing after the signals in the 206° azimuth would call for a larger antenna, or antennas. One could use a rotator, though in multiple TV homes aim point becomes a point of contention. I would opt for a 'regular viewing' antenna system and a separate 'DX'ing antenna system'...
