You already own the C2, so no point suggesting another antenna until you prove the need for one. Your aim point is reasonable as a starting point.

Ideally, the amplifier would be located near the antenna, it can't overcome the loss produced by cable on the input side. The PCT-MA2-M (one input / one output) with remote power option would be ideal. You could mount the amplifier in the attic, while powering it from the basement or another convenient mid-point. Then in the basement, use a passive splitter to feed the TVs.
