The HDTVi will have a cable, long enough to set the antenna on or near the TV.

If the TV was built after March of 2007, it should have an over-the-air capable digital tuner. In that case simply connect to the 'ANT' or 'ANTENNA' connector on the TV.

As teleview already mentioned, you'll need to set the TV tuner to use 'Air' or 'Antenna' mode, not 'cable'. Then run a new channel scan.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
