OK I recommend use a Tripod antenna mount as a Test Stand (easy to move around) .
Antenna heights down low up high , this location that location.
Use the HD7698P antenna and CPA-19 preamp combination and do the reception testing as suggested.
One digital tv connected , no splitters.
