I'd put an antenna in the attic. Height is your friend. Outdoors would be better of course. You should be able to get a lot of stations just from pointing an antenna to the east. The Leaf won't pull any of the VHF's for you, so I'd avoid that antenna. Not that you need to tune the VHF with the abundance of UHF. I'd suggest an ANT-751. It's relatively inexpensive, low profile and easy to install and will get all channels available to you.
