Thanks for the help GroundUrMast.
I did as you said and the rod length on the bunny ears is ~14 5/8". By "parallel to the ground", I'm assuming you mean the two rods should be as far apart from each other as possible. I also positioned the antenna in the direction you stated. I am now able to pick up 63.1 (MyN) with the new position, but sadly still no NBC or ABC.
