An Antennacraft C290 pointing at roughly 130° compass should be able to drive a passive 4-way splitter and the cable in a typical home.
You'll have less loss if you use a splitter with only the number of needed ports.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
