Early on you indicated that there is clearing of trees to the north/west , the Tv stations are to the west north west.

Yes use the eave antenna mount.

Get the antenna above the roof so that the antenna clears the roof and has good a view to the north west as possible.

There is no requirement to put the antenna in a place that you will be swinging around like a monkey , keep it simple.


Do you know your directions??

North.

East.

South.

West.

And then back to north.

North = 0 degree magnetic compass.

East = 90 degree magnetic compass.

South = 180 degree magnetic compass,

West = 270 degree magnetic compass.

And then you come 360 degree , when you are at 360 degree you are nose to nose with 0 degree and 0 degree is magnetic compass north.

So 310 degree is in between , 270 and 360 degree.

So in general terms , one could say that 310 degree is west/north. Or west moving toward north.

I have found that knowing the directions of ,


North.

East.

South.

West.

and back to North.

Makes it easier for me to get along in life.

So the DB4e is aimed in the general direction of north/west. Or west / north.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter.
