rooftop install new HDTV antenna and old VHF antenna for FM

I cut cable a while back and mostly do internet tv (have my house wired Cat6 as well as wireless so all set there).

I was thinking about getting a HDTV antenna to put in attic for NBC etc. I don't mind paying a bit extra as one time expense for hardware so price difference not a determining factor. Was looking at Orca-AX series with the rotors etc and also the winegard 7696.

I think I have quite good coverage overall:

I have a very old VHF antenna in my attic from previous owners which I never used. It's HUGE... I also listen to FM radio a lot and don't get reception in my basement so was thinking about converting that to an FM radio antenna while I get a new antenna for DTV .

I am tech savvy but no experience with antennas.

I have broadly for questions:
(1) which antenna should I go with?
(2) amplifier or not (read up on the cons of amplifier if signal is already good)
(3) rotor or not? Is there a downside of getting rotor?
(4) will the VHF antenna used for FM interfere with the other one for TV if they are both in the attic? I have room up there (i think) and will be using separate cables.
.
Thanks very much
