@ADTech is quite right. Your report clearly indicates signal conditions that call for an outdoor antenna such as a Winegard HD7698P. If connecting more than one set or driving more than 25' of cable, a preamp such as the Antennas Direct PA-18 should also be considered.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
