The Channel Master 4228 HD seems like a lessor DB8:

It seems to have more VHF range, though slightly less reported UHF range than my presently owned DB4e :

It looks more impressive, I'll admit that. Those tripods look nice but I don't think I could get by one with my landlord.
Per my other post I have a similar "tree issue" & I'm going from a brick wall/outside window mount to a roof/chimney mount with the DB4e + the C2 VHF Reflector & CPA-19 Pre-Amp at about 35-40' from the ground with rotor. It's not going to clear "all" the trees by far but I'm hoping for some improvement, hopefully enough to justify the cost of install & parts. I will find out on Wednesday, fingers crossed.
