Update, I tried using the rabbit ears and was unsuccessful picking up anything. What I didn't do was have a smaller tv to take upstairs out on my deck and try from that height. Next time I go, I plan to bring a little 19" to play with and I will report back. Seems like this is going to take a bit of time and I appreciate the help and your patients!
