There is occasional work on Sutro and other broadcast infrastructure from time to time. Haven't heard anything specific about KPIX. Is everything back to normal now?
BTW, KNTV, channel 12, is broadcast from San Bruno.
You might also want to check to see if your antenna has been rotated at all. If the antenna has physically moved, you might be picking up more signal from San Bruno (perhaps off a terrain bounce) and less from Sutro.
