You would be able to see some signals with a DB-8, U8000 or CM-4228.
If you and I lived next to one another, you'd see at least one antenna on my roof.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
