OK, what you just said about only getting ch11 (your strongest channel) makes sense knowing only the power inserter was removed and not the preamp too. Both parts of the preamp need to be in the loop or out of the loop. An unpowered preamp really knocks the signal down but the fact that you can receive ch11 under those conditions indicates your original problem is probably related to the preamp. Looks like you need to get on the roof to verify the preamp settings or possibly take it out of the loop completely.
