The new information is not a great change. I doubt you would have much success with an attic install.

If we were neighbors, you'd likely see a 5' tripod and 10' mast on my roof. 3starinc.com is one of many sources.

If programming from WPCP is of interest to you, you would also need a rotator. NTE offers a rotator and thrust bearing that can handle large antennas. The down-side to a rotator and multiple sets is that not everyone will be pleased with the direction the antenna is aimed.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
