Start with the antenna facing due east per a compass.

Antennacraft published specifications for the U8000 claim 12.0 dBd gain. KEYT is predicted to be almost 16 dB below the theoretical level needed to 'see' it. The gain of the U8000 puts you at about -4 dB NM, The noise figure of an amplifier will make that worse, not better. The Antennas Direct CPA-18 and CPA-19 have noise figures of 2 dB or less, That would give you a net NM of -6 dB... You won't see KEYT with that antenna at that height.

To receive KEYT, you need a tower to get over the mountains. The enormous (155 lbs, 8' H X 16' W) Wade PB-82-BB claims 21 to 25 dBi of gain... That would theoretically put you in a position to 'see' KEYT... but I would expect reception to be on the edge at best.

Do you have OTA reception at your location? If so, have you considered sharing your antenna via products such as Sling Box or a HTPC that is accessible via a VPN connection over the internet?

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
