I don't think that they will bring back older designs and newer designs like the 3020 that is tuned for full spectrum probably won't need much adjusting because it is the UHF spectrum that is getting...

I agree with rabbit you should be able to get something without an amp... but not if its passing through a half dozen splitters so don't put it through a splitter before it connects to your tv..
