Help on new installation

Wanting to install an OTA antenna in my attic if possible. The hip roof is covered by asphalt shingles over plywood. I estimate there is an area that I could rotate an antenna that is about 7 ft square during installation. My Signal Analysis is: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...a36274175af85e

I would be happy with just the Tampa stations (azimuth 254 to 282)

Would appreciate your antenna recommendations.
Also do I need a amplifer?

Thanks for any help you can offer!
Super site!

Winegard HD 7694P. Nudge it slightly toward WTSP on channel 10. Get an HDP-269 preamp. If WTSP is unreliable, get a VHF high band antenna (Y10-7-13 or YA1713) and a channel 10 Jointenna. http://www.warrenelectronics.com/Ant...Jointennas.htm

The channel 10 antenna may need to be outdoors.

If you will like to receive the Tv stations the easy way. Put the HD7694P on the roof and point the antenna in the direction of channel 10 CBS. This is likley all you will need to receive the Tv transmitter of magnetic compass 288 channel 10 and magnetic compass 260/261/262 the Tv transmitters south of Tampa. And before you rattle on about not being able to put a Tv antenna on the roof because of hoa's and housing covennets and etc. and etc. . Read and understand this http://www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html , the FCC Federal Communications Commission , OVER RULED ALL hoa's , housing covennets and EVERY ONE ELSE. The Year 1996. And what it says is Yes You Can Put a Tv Antenna On Your Roof.

Thanks to you both!

Thanks for the guidance and the link. I ordered the antenna and pre-amp.

Surprised, Moline, Illinois is my birthplace.

I will report back once I have installed.

Received / Installed & Pleased

I received antenna and pre amp late yesterday from Warren Electronic and installed in attic this morning. All the Tampa stations I wanted are coming in at 100% except the CBS which is 86%. It's a perfect clear day. Will angle a little more toward CBS, but WOW I'm very happy now.

Thanks for the recommendation
