New house, new problems
I love my new house but hate its radiant barrier. I had a homemade Bowtie attic place antenna that gave me all the stations I wanted before, but I can't use it anymore due to the radiant barrier. My Reception report link is below.
I bought a little outdoor Bowtie antenna from RadioShack this week and temporarily mounted it on a ten foot pole just to try it out. I only care about the UHF stations but am missing three stations I really want - PBS, ABC, and NBC. Will roof mounting at about 20 feet resolve this issue? Do I need an amp? Is there a good thread regarding rooftop mounting? http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...267edefb9f3a79 |

Tv antennas and Tv reception
The tv transmissions are weak at your location. Install a Winegard HD7082P All channel antenna with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamplifier mounted above the roof. The Tv channels are VHF low band 2 thru 6 , VHF high band channels 7 thru 13 and UHF channels 14 thru 69. One station is on VHF low band KSFW-LD channel 02 Religion. 3 stations are on VHF high band , WFAA 8 ABC and Local weather and Live well network. KTVT-DT CBS. KFWD 9 IND. and and Classic Tv. The rest are on UHF. The HD7082P antenna will be aimed at about 194 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. If you don't want to worry about the station on channel 2, you can go for the Winegard HD-7696P, which is the same length as the 7082P, but is much skinnier. The irony is it costs a few more dollars than the 7082.
