Your location has Many Digital Channels to receive both Canada and USA. This recommendation is based on the tvfool radar report of the Current and Pending Applications Included , Digital Tv Broadcast Channels as of 02-27-2012. Install a Antennas Direct DB4e antenna with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp aimed at about 195 degree magnetic compass. The Tv stations/channels that will be received are the groups of digital tv stations/channels in the green and yellow reception zones to the south and south west down to WNYO-DT UHF channel 49 MyNetwork. http://www.saveandreplay.com has the DB4e and CPA-19 preamp. And any other OTA = Over The Air , equipment you will require. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. Here are some examples of antenna mounts that most often used. 5 foot tripod mount , Eave mount , Chimney mount , Channel Master antenna mounts or Winegard antenna mounts or some other manufacture , saveandreplay will have. http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html.

The Tv must scan for the , Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , some times called the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' because the Tv transmission travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna. . Do Not scan for cable Tv channels.

It is Ok to read my recommendation , you will find the preamp that is recommended . Use a simple 2 way splitter. The power supply of the preamp will be on the input port of the splitter , Do Not connect the power supply of the preamp to one of the 2 output ports of the splitter. The preamp unit will be mounted close to the antenna. http://www.saveandreplay.com , will have all that is required to receive Tv reception. Order on line or go into the store.

Hi Electron,
Already bought the antennas direct db4e but not the cpa-19 pre amp. The store was offering instead PA18 UHF/VHF Antenna Pre-Amp Kit. Is this ok?
Thanks,

The PA-18 is designed for weak signal applications. Your situation definitely calls for an amplifier that can handle stronger signals. The CPA-19 is the right amplifier in your case.
