Let it rain
I went through an online TV antenna service that determines the correct ota antenna needed for my address and then sends out an installer to make it all happen. They installed the Winegard HD-7698P and overall I'm happy with the 18 or so channels I get on clear weather days, but on days when it's pouring rain, I get all 18 channels perfectly and others I wouldn't normally receive. This seams contrary to all the other TV reception threads I have read in the past, what can I do to get all these channels in consistently besides my ritual rain dance?

My personal experience with rain is that I usually received better reception in rainy weather. However, that was with mostly VHF analog broadcasts. Today's digital broadcasts are primarily UHF. UHF and VHF each have unique advantages and disadvantages. Without having a hint about the mix of TV broadcasts available at your exact location, there is no way to evaluate your situation.
