Antenna Help
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...9fbe4fe02de944
Hi. I live in a very rural area and would like to pick up the major networks. I'm sick of wasting money with the cable company. I need advice on what to look for in an antenna and pre-amp. Thanks! |
It looks like your channels are a fair distance away (about 46 miles) and slightly blocked by some hills. Here's a cross-sectional view of KSPR to give you an idea of what the terrain looks like between the transmitter and your home:
http://www.tvfool.com/modeling/tmp/9...RE-KSPR-DT.png The good news is that there's still enough signal reaching you (for the top five stations in your list) to be captured by a good antenna and they are all coming from the same direction. I'd recommend using a Winegard HD7698P on your roof, pointed west, and a pre-amp. Some good pre-amp choices would be the Winegard AP-8700, Antennacraft 10G202, or Channel Master 7777. Use RG6 coax to connect everything together. |
